The Dean of Isfahan University of Medical Sciences, together with a high rank delegate of this university, had a travel to Pakistan in order to explore and negotiate the possibilities of joint research projects and educational activities. As a result of this trip three agreements were signed between this university and the Universities of Lahoure, University of Health sciences, and Punjab University of Pakistan, and a joint doctoral program in the field of public health will soon be defined.

Iranian Ministry of Science, Research and technology (MSRT) and the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research are delighted to announce the 1st MSRT – BMBF Joint Mobility-Call that focuses onexchange of researchers, development of research consortia, preparation of full scale research projects and their application.
This interactive workshop was a combination of lectures and sessions of group discussion and group work, and an opportunity for MUI members to work in a reality basis and get feedback from Professor Ali Mirzazadeh, assistant professor infectious disease epidemiologist, at department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics, University of California, San Francisco (UCSF).
Several lectures were presented on how to establish and develop scientific relationships and conduct joint projects between Iranian and German medical universities. Two workshops were also held on Medical Education as well as on Research. Subsequent to this event, the coordination office for collaborations between Medical Universities in Iran and Germany started its official work of facilitating the relationship between the two sides. This conference was the first symposium of its kind; The same conference will be held next year by the German side.
The Chancellor of MUI along with the Director of the International Affairs and the Vice Chancellor for Education had a visit to Germany.
On this trip they had a meeting with the authorities of DAAD organization in Bonn, as well as the authorities of the University of Freiburg. Following the negotiations with DAAD, the parties consented to make an agreement to offer 6 month joint grants to PhD students.
IGMS will be held at MUI on Thursday, first of March of 2018. IGSD as a bilateral scientific event in national level has been organized according to the agreement of the Iranian Ministry of Science and Technology and the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research in Joint Iranian-German Committee on Science and Technology in Bonn on May 2017. As a commemorative event, IGSD celebrates years of strong Science & Technology Cooperation between Iran and Germany.
