Overview

Department of Nutrition and Food Science was established in 1987 as Nutrition Department in School of Health and Nutrition at Medical University of Isfahan (MUI). To extend nutritional knowledge as graduate programs, the first group of BSc students of nutrition entered the school. School of Nutrition and Food Science was officially established after approving three educational departments of Clinical Nutrition, Community Nutrition and Food Technology and Science in 2009 and three MSc courses were established thereafter in 2010. Ph.D. course in Nutrition Science was also approved students in the academic year 2007.
To become the preeminent School of Nutrition and Food Science in MUI and finally reaching to International Level School for Food, Nutrition and Health through research, education and leadership in human nutrition, is the vision of this school. The purpose of the establishing the School of Nutrition and Food Science is: To use nutrition research, education and leadership as a key driver for enhancing the health, wellness and prosperity of individuals and populations. Undoubtedly, achieving this require significant growth and transformation in this field.
