It was established in 2009 as the Critical Care Nursing group related to Department of Nursing and Midwifery, before that the Critical Care Nursing group was active since the formation of the Adult Nursing Group in 1997.
The goal of this department is improving the knowledge, skills and attitudes of undergraduate, postgraduate, and clinical nursing in the field of evidence-based critical care, developing of multi-disciplinary collaboration to improve the professionalism of nursing in the intensive care units, and collaborating to provide standards of critical care nursing;that is to say,
- Training undergraduate students in the field of critical care;
- Providing education to postgraduate students in the field of critical care;
- Training of qualified and competent graduates in the field of critical care;
- Promotion in the quality of care in the intensive care units by using the research achievements of the group;
- Expansion of the relationship with other industries and the production of entrepreneurship and research-based products;
- Training nursing students for Comprehensive care in intensive care units, cardiac care units, dialysis unit and emergency department.
