Since 1989, Postgraduate department of Nursing and Midwifery has been lunched. In 1990, it started training and admission and from 2015, admission of postgraduate education in the surgical technology was started.

Admission of graduate applicants to the School of Nursing and Midwifery is according to the regulations of the Ministry of Health, Treatment and Medical Education, subject to acceptance of candidates in entrance exam.  The courses in this degree are offered in two semesters per year with a single system.

Students are graduated after passing the practical and theoretical courses and signing thesis and defending their proposal and after presenting the research report and acceptance of article publication.

Ph.D.

Nursing Ph.D. in 2003 and reproductive health Ph.D. programs in 2006 were launched after receiving permission from the Ministry of admission at PhD level education in the School of Nursing and Midwifery, Isfahan University of Medical Sciences and now in 2016, 1352 students are studying in different disciplines. Admission of nursing and reproductive health Ph.D. courses is carried out in a concentrated form of the entrance exam with other disciplines of medical sciences in two stages written test and interview.

The admitted in nursing and reproductive health Ph.D. courses are entered on a comprehensive test after successfully completing three semesters of theory and research.  After the defense of a dissertation topic, students begin their research project proposals and graduate after presenting a reporting and acceptance of at least two articles with ISI, PubMed index.
