The Health and Social Welfare department has started its work in 2015 with admission of students in social welfare (Master's degree). The main objective of Health and Social Welfare Department is to develop knowledge in the field of health and social welfare  to address the stakeholders’ needs, to promote knowledge about the well-being of various social groups, especially vulnerable populations. The department through using effective knowledge and interdisciplinary collaboration endeavors to pave the way for promoting social justice and aiding vulnerable groups. The Health and Social Welfare includes:  planning to prevent social problems, providing policy implications for health, educational, and social security stakeholders and doing applied research in the field of health and social welfare in order to lessen the burden of social problems and thus improve the quality of life.
