About Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Department

Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation is a rapidly expanding & exciting speciality aims to enhance and restore functional ability and quality of life to those with physical impairments or disabilities affecting the brains, spinal cord, nerves, bones, joints, ligament & muscles.

Physiatrist are exports to provide integrated, multidisciplinary care aimed at recovery of whole person by addressing the individual physical, medical, emotional needs.

At Isfahan university of medical sciences, the residents also learn to be able to manage patients with a wide range of neuromuscular & skeletal disorder, They become expert to correctly perform electrodiagnostic study & use the best science and evidence- based approach in the setting of in-patient or out- patient of all age group. Established at 2008 as the department of physical medicine & rehabilitation.To function as an integral and responsible member of Isfahan university of medical science

To train physiatrist who can lead a multidisciplinary team include physical therapist, ccupational therapists and physician to optimize patient care.To contribute to the advancement of knowledge through research in clinical care basic science & health care system in both physical medicine & rehabilitation field.
