About Obstetrics and Gynecology Department View(Active Tab) Edit Track

The department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology in the faculty of the Health sciencs at the University of Isfahan falls in the broadcategory of women's health. It is proud to offer service, teaching, research and community ourtreach in all of the major fields of the disciplin:

  • Obstetric
  • Feto maternal medicine
  • Gynaecology
  • Gynaecology oncology
  • Laparoscopic surgery
  • Urogynaecology
  • Infertility

 

The department is functional on all of the service training platforms of the faculty of Health science. Currently, each year approximately 200 medical students spend 9 weeks. Attached to the department during the 5th , 6 th , 7 th  year of their medical course.

The vision of the department is tebe an internationally recognised center for academic Obstetrics, Gynaecology and its mission is to provide a high quality academic service across a broad range of clinical, educational and research activities within its associated teaching Hospitals, Beheshti Hospital and Alzahra Hospital.

We strive to be the leaders in obstetric, gynecologic, and reproductive health for women of all ages in the local and global communities through excellence in clinical care, education, and research.

  • Promote the highest standard of obstetric, gynecologic, and reproductive health through personalized clinical care based on the latest research and innovation.
  • Create future leaders in obstetric, gynecologic, and reproductive health and enhance life-long learning for all health professionals in our community through thoughtful and innovative education.

The origins of the University of Isfahan department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology can be traced back to 1950.
