About ENT Department

The mission of the Department of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery since its establishment fifty years ago, has been providing the highest-quality care for patients with diseases of the ear, nose and throat.

These disorders are divided to seven subspecialties:Otology and lateral skull base surgery, endoscopic surgery and anterior skull base surgery, head and neck masses, facial plastic and reconstructive surgery, pediatric, laryngology and voice disorders and sleep disorder.

In collaboration with referring physicians in other departments at IUMS we treat adults and children with complicated ENT problems. Our faculty are devoted to the education of next generation of outstanding clinicians and surgeons according to primary competencies of patient care, medical knowledge, practice-based learning, communication, professionalism and systems-based practice. The fully accredited fouryear Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery residency program offerswide-ranging clinical and academic experiences. Innovative research dedicated to problems and diseases of the head and neck in children and adultsis also highly encouraged and has led tomanyinternational presentations and publications.
