Occupational Health Engineering Department at the school of Health began to educate students in 1996 with an associate degree. Due to the extent of workplaces in Iran and the need for occupational health and safety specialist, department expanded its mission to offer programs leading to Bachelor, Master and PhD in Occupational Health Engineering. The department consists of 6  faculty members.

The department of the Occupational Health Engineering at the SUMS School of Health, with a qualified academic staff and well-equipped laboratories, meets the following objectives:

1. Improving the quality of educational and research activities

2. Conducting applied research and industry relation projects regarding the county OHS problems and challenges

3. Providing OHS technical and consulting services requested by sectors and industries, especially in the center and south of Iran

4. Further development of OHS knowledge and practice at national and international level through educational and research activities
