Department of Environmental Health Engineering is one of four departments in school of Health in Medical University of Isfahan that was estabilished in1985. In fact٫ the Environmental Health Engineering is reputable due to its teaching and research with an established reputation across the entire spectrum of environmental factors and the interaction with human health, biomonitoring, health impact and risk assessment, environmental parameters purification technology such as water, air, soil treatment and waste management.

The department is responsible for promoting knowledge in environmental protection and assistance in Advancing Environmental Health Science in urban, industrial, and rural areas as well as training required skills in related fields. The main task of the department is to identify environmental health issues and provide solutions that meet the following major objectives:

• Research for the exploitation of policy makers, executives, researchers, industry, and society;
• Educational and research training at undergraduate and postgraduate level (MSc, Ph.D) in the field of Health Sciences and The environment;
• Providing scientific evidence-based solutions for health-related environmental problems and assessing their implementation across the country;
• Achieving science and technology of the day, localization, and application of research findings in line with stringent economic policies;
• Developing interdisciplinary cooperation with other institutes, organizations, and stakeholders in order to achieve common benefits;
• Promoting the level of environmental knowledge and lifestyle of people in the community to preserve the environment and improve the health of the community;
