Laboratories  

The Laboratory of this faculty are related to two department of Occupational Health and Safety as well as   

engineering environmental health engineering :

 

1.  Harmful chemical agents laboratory with the following abilities                                  

Electronic calibration of sampling pumps 

Sampling of air pollutants based on standard

methods MDHS, OSHA, NIOSH               

sample preparation

Sample analysis with ICP, GC-MS, GC-FID and visible 

spectrophotometer and UV

         

 2. Occupational toxicology laboratory with the following abilities

 

Sample preparation;                                                  

Biological monitoring;

Extraction of poisons from biological samples;

with methods NTD ، DLLME ، LLE and soxhlet;

Measuring cholinesterase plasma.

 

             
3. Iuminance work environment Lab

    Familiarity with different lighting systems and lights

 

4.Thermal stresses laboratory with the following abilities

 

Measurement of environmental and physiological

Indices of thermal stress

Simulation of hot and dry warm or humid weather 

Conditions to determine the thermal stress levels  of the types Work clothes, anti-chemical clothes, waterproof

Identification of heat load caused by work clothes and personal protective equipment

 5. Sound and vibration laboratory with the following abilities

Measure sound and vibration         

Determine exposure to sound and vibration and provide solutions for controlling and reducing exposure

                
 

6. Industrial ventilation laboratory with the following abilities

    Ventilation testing in industries and hospitals      

    Testing of laboratory hoods

 

 7. Ergonomic laboratory with the following abilities

  Evaluation of risk in Industrial,with risk analysis methods like OWAS,QEC,RULA,OCRA,NIOSH 

  Lifting equation, MAC

  Evaluation prevalence of musculoskeletal-disorders and their risk factors

  Anthropometric measurements

  Identification of the physical work capacity 

                         

  8. Cognitive ergonomics laboratory with the following abilities

  Identification and analysis of human errors in different occupations                

  Identification and analysis of human errors in different occupations

  Study of psychological and social factors of the workplace   

  Evaluation of mental workload in industrial control rooms

                   

 9. Safety Lab

 Analysis of work-related accidents       

 Design of fire detection and extinguish fire systems

 Job Safety Analysis and Occupational risk assessment

                     

 10. Beams evaluation laboratory with the following abilities

 Measuring ultraviolet and infrared rays                                        

 Measurement of electric and magnetic fields

 Determination of exposure the wave of radio

 Frequency of mobile stations and provide solutions for controlling and reducing exposure

 

 11. Environmental toxicology Lab

 

  Assessment of Impacts of Toxins environmental        

 Cell culture and cellular and molecular research

                        

12. Central laboratory Analysis device

   Measuring and identifying a variety of chemical compounds (including drugs, pesticides,heavy metals, environmental and occupational pollutants, environmental assessments and biological monitoring) with equipments like PHLC, UV-VIS detectors ، GC-Mass ، ICP-OES

 

                          

13. Water and wastewater chemistry Lab

  Identifying of water hardness, opacity electrical conductivity, pH water and sewage

      

14.Trusted Environmental Lab

Measuring of physical and chemical parameters of water and sewage

Measuring of Water and sewage microbial parameters
