Shahid Chamran: Subspecialized Teaching Hospital for Heart Diseases (Founded in 1969)

This hospital, with 237 active beds, is the only subspecialized center for heart diseases in the province of Isfahan.

It has the following wards:

  • Open-heart ICU - PICU – CCU- NICU
  • Heart surgery
  • Angiography

This center also has the following diagnostic and treatment facilities and equipment:

Angiography - Echocardiography - Heart pump - Radiology - Cell catheter

The center offers the following subspecialized services:

  • Heart transplantation
  • Replacement or repair of heart valves
  • Aortic dissection repair
  • Coronary artery bypass grafting
  • Removal of heart tumors
  • Cardiac cavity wall repair (PDA, VSD, ASD)
  • Installation of IABP, ECMO
  • Repair of various congenital heart defects in infants such as tetralogy, TGA, common arterial trunk (CAT), univentricular hearts, etc.
  • Use of novel closed surgical methods such as thoracoscopy
  • Different types of embolectomy
  • Repair of heart aneurysms
  • Harvest of organs (liver, kidney, intestine)
